11 questions found
How do I get IT help?
Call or WhatsApp 076 053 6500, email craig@cwitsolutions.co.za, or use the contact form. A short description of the issue and your suburb is a good place to start.
What should I include in my enquiry?
Describe the device or setup that needs help, what you are trying to do, what happens instead, and your suburb. The make and model or the wording of an error message can help. Please leave out passwords and private information.
Do I need to understand computers to ask for help?
No. Explain the problem in your own words. You do not need to diagnose it or know the technical terms before getting in touch.
Which areas do you cover?
CW IT Solutions covers Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs and Sea Point, including Harfield Village, Claremont, Newlands, Rondebosch, Kenilworth, Wynberg, Plumstead, Constantia and Tokai. Send your suburb to confirm visit arrangements.
How much will the work cost?
The cost depends on the issue, the work involved and any parts needed. Get in touch to discuss an assessment and ask about call-out or assessment charges before arranging a visit. Confirm the proposed work and cost before going ahead.
Can I arrange a home or office visit?
Send your suburb and a description of the job. Visit suitability, availability and arrangements will be confirmed with you. Submitting an enquiry does not book an appointment.
Do you help both households and small businesses?
Yes. The focus is home technology, home offices and small office projects, including computers, Wi-Fi, printers, CCTV and practical IT advice.
Can you help with a new internet connection?
Yes. Get help setting up your router, Wi-Fi and connected devices. Your internet provider and fibre network operator handle the underlying service, fibre infrastructure and activation.
Can you help me choose equipment before I buy?
Yes. Explain what you need to do and what you already have. Advice before buying can help you choose compatible equipment and avoid spending on something that will not solve the problem.
Should I back up my computer before a repair?
If you can safely access your files, having a current backup is sensible. If the computer is failing or you cannot access important files, ask for advice before attempting changes. Discuss your files and backup options before repair work begins.
Should I share passwords in the contact form?
No. Do not include passwords, banking details, one-time codes or private documents. The form only needs your contact details and a brief description of the help you need.
